Austin has been named one of Zillow’s ten hottest housing markets in the country for 2018, Culturemap Austin reports.
Zillow ranked US cities on metrics to come up with a “hotness” score. Data included home value and rent forecasts, income and population growth, current unemployment rates, and the number of job openings per person from Glassdoor. As a result, Austin’s hotness score nabbed the 6th spot.
Real estate housing markets are on fire.
So what Austin neighborhoods are on the upswing? The housing experts anticipate Pecan Springs Springdale, MLK, Montopolis, West Congress, and Coronado Hills will see their home values increase the most.
Most noteworthy, San Jose California has the hottest housing market and topped the list after reporting the fastest growth among the 50 largest metros in the country. Dallas, another Texas city, ranked 10th on Zillow’s list.
